Nipple

Nipple is a metal pipe fitting with external thread on one side and thread on both sides, or with reduction thread. It is used to connect two pipes together as a connecting element. Nipples can be made from a wide variety of materials such as steel, stainless steel, brass, or plastic.

Nipples can be diversified as follows according to the place to be used.

• One-sided nipple.

• Hose end nipple.
• Hexagonal hex nipple.
• Stainless nipple.

In addition, nipples are produced in diameters such as 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″ and approximately 5-10 cm in length. Its length is directly proportional to its diameter, that is, it lengthens as its diameter grows.

Application Areas

They are generally used in all small or large industrial pipelines such as natural gas installations, hot water installations.

Nipple is used as a connection element in all installations. In addition to connecting pipes to each other, nipples are products that are suitable for use in lines such as valves, filters, check valves and valves, both in small diameter and large diameter lines. In small diameter lines, they provide the connections of materials such as strainers, check valves and valves, as well as safety valves, control elements, measuring elements.

When using nipples, the diameter of the pipe to which they will be connected and the pressure to pass through must be taken into account.
