Making paper from some raw materials, usually trees, involves two major processes. The first of these is the conversion of the raw material into dough. The second is to turn the dough into a finished paper. The pulp is first turned into chemical pulp, then mechanical pulp is processed and transformed into recycled fibers that can be used. There are two different chemical pulping processes: These are sulfite treatment and sulphate process. These operations can be applied together or as two separate transactions. There are also two types of mechanical pulping: ground wood and refining pulp processes.
